Processing: Your School's Values

Choosing to adopt a system of aspirational values was a major part of Louisville Collegiate's transition to becoming a spiritually supportive school. Commitment to the constant pursuit of improvement, of better serving one's community and one's world, is a tremendous source of energy for the kind of change required in our schools today.

You are now invited to reflect on the unique position of your own school community.

Please answer the following prompts. Your responses may be any length.

  1.  Does your school community have a set of aspirational values which guide its development? What are they?

  2. Do you know who established those values? What about the context in which they were established?

  3. Do you feel connected to those values? What do they mean to you?

  4. Do you believe others in your community feel connected to those values? Why or why not?
